Southern Ohio Behavioral Health Named One of Top Ten Best Employers in Ohio for 2011!
Southern Ohio Behavioral Health has been named one of the top ten Best Employers in Ohio for Small and Medium Companies by the Best Businesses Group and the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM)-Ohio State Council.  With this award Southern Ohio Behavioral Health has now been selected a Best Employer in Ohio for two consecutive years.  What makes the award very special is that it is based on the reports of employers in open and confidential surveys.  Company benefits that contributed to the award included a liberal paid time off policy, flex scheduling, special recognition for staff effort, an excellent corporate culture that fosters respect for others, honesty and celebration of individual employee success on the job.   “We are very proud of all of our employees and honor their professional success whenever possible”, reported Ms. Kara Howard, Human Resources Director.   She went on to state, “We are constantly looking for ways to express our appreciation for each employee’s hard work and effort.”  Southern Ohio Behavioral Health enjoys a very good relationship between management and employees as well as a low annual staff turnover rate.

Southern Ohio Behavioral Health Receives National Recognition
Southern Ohio Behavioral Health was recently recognized for its services in long term care as well as general behavioral health.  Dorland Health presented the agency a Case in Point Platinum Award for case management services in long term care.  The award recognized Southern Ohio Behavioral Health’s services as “an exemplary case management program, which provides effective and efficient treatment for patients in an ever-costly healthcare world.”  The Case in Point Platinum Award is given to denote the best in the nation in one of 25 service categories specified by Dorland Health.  Southern Ohio Behavioral Health also received an Honorable Mention award for the Behavioral Health case management category.

The national recognition was the result of a team effort and case managers, therapists, nurses and administrative support staff, equally share the honor.
